Technical route

At present, based on the different electrolytes, there are four main types of hydrogen production technologies for electrolysis of water: alkaline water electrolysis tank (ALK), proton exchange membrane water electrolysis tank (PEM), anion exchange membrane water electrolysis tank (AEM), and solid oxide water electrolysis tank (SOEC).

Alkaline water electrolysis technology, as the most mature electrolysis technology, occupies a dominant position in the market; PEM electrolyzers are more adaptable to the volatility of renewable energy, but currently, China's PEM electrolyzers have a high dependence on imported key materials, so they are still in the research and development demonstration stage as a whole; SOEC electrolysis of water has high energy conversion efficiency, but it is still in the initial demonstration stage and far from commercialization.

The nickel-based ternary alloy catalyst is prepared by using passivation coupling electrodeposition technology, and Ni, Fe, Mo elements are preferred, and the catalytic HER and OER are highly efficient and stable.
